GLOBAL PORTFOLOIS CO LIMITED was formed in Phuket, Thailand in May 1998.
The founder of the company, RICHARD GLOAG WATSON, was born and educated in Edinburgh, Scotland and thereafter emigrated to Australia where he gained experience in the fields of Banking and Finance. He has many years of experience in the world of International Financial Planning.
Starting as a Financial Adviser with the Barclays Bank Group and later as Manager - Offshore Services, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Thereafter, he created and managed a new department, Private Investment, with French global banking group, Banque Indosuez, now part of Credit Agricole.
Twenty years ago he founded International Money Management in South Africa, an independent international personal financial planning service which, in reality, is the predecessor to the present day GLOBAL PORTFOLIOS in Phuket.
